Old Time Cowboys Jacket quilting pattern

Old Time Cowboys Jacket

$ 47.00

Here is an incredible jacket, you get the outline filled with four rows of quilting patterns, none higher than 17". Patterns included are: cactus, mule, red rock landscapes, desert, longhorn steer, ten gallon hat, cowboy, lariat, burro, chuckwagon, rodeo, bull rider, petroglyph, lizard, bucking bronco, cowboy boot, tortoise. This pattern is labeled X because the pattern is the recorded stitch file that I use, not a digitized-after-the-fact file. Stitch it slow and careful, its worth it. Quilt that "odd bit" at the bottom and lay your collar pattern over it, so that after sewing, the images will be right side up. Quilt the jacket on a wholecloth single layer of a fabric with "body", my favorite is either the old Sandcastles (not made anymore, but you may have it in your stash), or Hemp Summercloth from www.dharmatrading.com. Even easier is to open the seams of a sweatshirt which fits well, or your favorite jacket or shirt pattern, and size the pattern provide to fit those contours. Inn any regard, I would be using a shirt pattern to provide a more accurate cut for the body I am making it for, and provide the finishing details like facings and collar, and the right cutting line at the neck to fit the collar. Or you can quilt it on the wholecloth with batting (hobbs natural cotton drapes well, Hobbs Wool gives contour if your fabric drapes heavily, otherwise it adds too much body), or over a patchwork if you don't add too much confusion in the fabrics to see the quilting. Wear this proudly, make it for your friends, family, make as many times as you like, but I do not license the right to sell it at craft/art shows or on your website as a finished jacket, as I do that myself.
